Rainy, mossy and frosty days
"The sailor"
When it rains, the snails come out and walk all over the ground, I even have to tread carefully, because they are scattered all over the land, even sailing over puddles.
A small mossy area can look like a big forest. Small springtail discovering a beautiful and dewy world.
"Rainy morning in the woods"
"Every rainy day shows us something new"
For example this true bug nymph looked very funny walking around with that droplet of water in its mouth.
"Kiss the rain"
The springtails love the humidity, that's their perfect world. I guess this little guy was celebrating the rainy day.
"Water mirror"
"We are made of starstuff" Carl Sagan once said. And although his words may sound like poetry to us, they were full of science: Our atoms and those of everything that has existed, exists and will exist are made from the debris of ancient stars that died in the distant past of the universe. Even this little fly, the dry leaf and the film of water you see in this image share the same origin with us. If we think about it, we will see with different eyes even the tiniest being that shares this planet with us.
"A winter sight"
From time to time in winter, charm and warth live together.
"Shelter"
I was simply touched by the fact that this little insect unsuccessfully took refuge under this branch to protect itself from the night frosts.
"Snow dust"
"Ice bits"
There is nothing like an early winter walk in the forest. I like to think that everyone is at home warm, with hot drinks in their hands, while I, I am happily alone, on my knees photographing these fleeting frozen beauties, which at the moment they are touched by the sunlight will disappear... until the next day :) Note: For this image I stacked 4 photos, (those of the frozen drops in the foreground) and then merged them on photoshop. I hope you like my frozen work.
